A free space for women untangling high-control religion

Once a week, women who have left or are leaving high-control religion meet on Zoom and say the things we might not be able to say anywhere else.

    What it looks like

I'll bring one small thing to start us off, and then we talk. Some weeks, we'll break into small groups to discuss and connect. Mostly, I want you to meet each other. Because deconstruction is lonely, and all of us need community.

    Come when you can

Come every week or come once. Miss a month and come back. The door is open whenever you want to walk through it.

    How it runs

We meet in seasons: six weeks together, then we take a couple weeks off, then we start again.

    Who's here

Women, trans, nonbinary, and queer folks are all welcome here. You won't have to explain or defend who you are. You're welcome whether you left years ago, left last month, or are still going to church. Whether you've left, are planning on leaving, or staying.

    What's the end goal?

Community and connection. Less confusion. "Me too"s. More self-trust. To feel less alone.

    Who I am

I'm a certified life coach who helps women untangle from high-control religion so they can create lives on their terms, with creativity and agency. I started deconstructing 20 years ago, and when I left, I felt confused and alone, and I never want anyone to feel how I felt.

    It's not scheduled yet

I'm picking times and dates based on what works for the women who want to come. Tell me when you're free and I'll email you with the date and Zoom link.

Which of these could you make?

Check every one that could work. It helps me find the time that catches the most people.

Once the dates are set, I'll email you with the date and the Zoom link to join.

This is a peer community space, not therapy or a substitute for professional mental health care. Carrie is a certified life coach, not a licensed therapist. If you are in crisis or struggling with trauma or PTSD, please reach out to a mental health therapist. In the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Recovering from Religion also runs a support hotline staffed by people who understand leaving faith.
