A 1-minute intro to the course

If you’re here, something has cracked.

Maybe you’ve started noticing things you can’t un-notice.
Maybe a belief you were handed suddenly doesn’t hold.
Maybe you’re grieving a God, a community, a version of yourself,
and the people around you don’t understand, or worse, think you’ve lost your way.
Maybe you just can’t make yourself believe anymore, even though you’ve tried.
You might feel confused. Disoriented. Angry. Numb.
Guilty for even having these thoughts.

Here’s what no one told me when I started deconstructing:

    However you’re feeling, it’s okay.
And you don’t need to be further along than you are.

    Hi, I’m Carrie

From birth, I was raised in high-control, evangelical, pentecostal Christianity, and the church was my whole world. I was taught the only safe people were inside the church and that everyone “outside” was dangerous. When I left, I was stunned to find the opposite was often true, and it took me years to convince my nervous system I could be safe out here.

I’m twenty years into my own deconstruction. I’m a certified life coach, and every day, I get to work with women who have left high-control religion and are rebuilding their lives from the studs. So I can tell you, with my whole chest:

    You are not alone.
    Not even close.

    Why I Built This Guide

Spiritual deconstruction is often confusing, disorienting, and lonely. I built this guide because it’s what I wished I had when I started deconstructing: a roadmap for walking myself through one of the hardest, most confusing times in my life and a set of tools for rebuilding joy and self-trust on the other side.

The key is building a gentle, loving relationship with yourself.

If you’d like to get to know me a little better, you can read my story on my About page.

    What This Is

Self-Belonging is a 12-week guided journey through the early, disorienting work of deconstructing your faith, built to keep you steady while you do it.

This work is trauma-informed and body-based. In plain terms: I won’t ask you to dig into the most painful memories on day one. We start by helping your nervous system feel safe and resourced, since no real healing happens from a place of panic. We build your steadiness first. Only then, gently and at your own pace, do we move into the heavier parts. You’ll never be thrown into the deep end. We wade in together, slowly, with your body leading the way.

The twelve Self-Belonging weekly workbooks and coaching videos, grouped by movement

    The 12-Week Journey

You’ll move through four movements, in an order built to protect your nervous system: settle first, understand next, nurture, then rebuild.

    Who This Guide Is For

    It is for you if:

    • You've ever felt confused, disillusioned, angry, or heartbroken by the church
    • You've left the church or you still attend, either way
    • You're in any stage of your faith deconstruction journey
    • You're ready to develop a kind, loving, and nurturing relationship with yourself
    • You're a woman, trans, nonbinary, or queer. However you identify, you are welcome here

It is not for you if:

    • You're in active crisis. Start with a trauma-informed therapist (I can recommend one), and come back when you feel more stable.
    • You're looking for a ready-made belief system to step into. This course helps connect you with what you want, not trade one handed-to-you framework for another.
    • You're hoping to skip the hard parts. We go slowly and gently, but we do go there.

    Your Questions, Answered

The moment you purchase, your Week 1: Intro chapter arrives right away, then a new chapter each week for 12 weeks.

About 30 minutes to an hour a week. The workbook takes 30 to 60 minutes, and I'll encourage a few minutes of daily journaling if it serves you. But these are tools, not assignments. I provide the map, and you decide how deep to go and how fast or slow to move.

You can't. It's yours to keep, at your pace. Go slow. Going slow is the whole idea.

No. This is for people still attending too.

No, it's coaching and education. I'm a certified life coach, not a therapist. If it becomes clear you need more support than this course offers, I'll say so and help you find it.

You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchasing, no questions asked.

If you find yourself in crisis or needing to heavily process the more painful parts of what happened to you, reach out to me and I can point you toward a trauma-informed therapist who specializes in faith deconstruction. And if you'd like to deconstruct in community, I offer small group coaching for women deconstructing their faith.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

You’re right where you need to be.
Come walk the first 12 weeks with me at your own pace.
